OBJECTIVE: To deliver employment services to clients and communities. This could include counseling, placement and referral activities through organizations in the community.

ELIGIBLE SPONSORS: Aboriginal Bands/organizations. Aboriginal/Non-Aboriginal small business and/or corporations.

ELIGIBLE CLIENTS: Services offered will be open to all aboriginal persons within the OTDC service area. Examples of specific clientele would include: Employment Insurance claimants, Social Assistance recipients, women & people with disabilities, those requiring Job Search assistance.

ACTIVITIES/SERVICES: These services are Outreach type activities. All Employment Services programs are client entered, with the Employment Assistance Workers' role to assist those clients to play an on-going and active role in assessing their employment difficulties and in finding solution to resolve them. Activities may also include liaison with ESDC offices related to EI (HRIF) clients. Examples of Activities/Services could include: Providing Labour Market information, Career Decision Making assistance, Job Search information & skills including Job Finding Clubs, Employer referral, Career Counseling and more.

ELIGIBLE COSTS:

There are no costs for aboriginal clients to access the Employment Asssistance services.

Sponsor Delivery costs fall under a Third Party contract.
